With the main British Towns Network site now exceeding a MILLION visits a year we have decided to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II by extending the coverage of community sites to the whole of the Commonwealth of Nations.
Our UK site now has the capability of linking every city, town, village and parish throughout the British Isles and to do this in an interesting, informative and easily used manner. We are now applying this formula to include the countries of the Commonwealth.
This is NOT an official site with any connections to any Commonwealth Organisation and it is not representing its self as such. It does however agree with the principles of the Commonwealth in so far as to promote the social development in this case via the Internet and by gathering together all the communities within the Commonwealth within this site can only be to the benefit of the members.
We have used logos and devices that are not the property of this site, these remain the property of the organisation to which they belong and clicking on them, or the text in the immediate vicinity, will take the visitor directly to the site which they advertise. We have done this for every County and District Council throughout the Untied Kingdom. An increasing number of these authorities now supply us directly with "improved" graphics and other content to use on the British Towns Network. We would be happy to remove any such logo or device if requested to do so by the Authority to which is belongs or to replace with any other graphic that they would wish to supply. We would further be happy to consider the inclusion of any other text or graphic that such authority would wish to to have displayed within their relevant entry.
